e to go to, and have the opportunity to heal and recover…Having recovered thus by working a 12 step program, one has the opportunity to clean up the wreckage of the past…to amend the heart aches, confusion and destruction of sweet relationships. Now, see the community having made their peace with the past and supporting their loved ones , friends, neighbors on the road to healing and recovery…forgiveness is letting go of the anger that has society blinded from the truth. The truth is , that we are “all” children of the Source of spirit. You may call it God, or Allah , or Universe…what have you. We all seek this truth, one way or another.. This, I’ve come to learn through years of denial. Pain is a great motivator to remove one’self from certain circumstances that seem of no benefit to one’s future. And for the addict/alcoholic that has even the tinniest speck of HOPE to achieve something greater in his or her own lifetime; “WE” are here to help…

It was 1997 when I had my first taste of this HOPE, in a detox center located in El Paso Tx. Someone took time out of their day to share their experience , strength and HOPE with this detox center. Later; at a location called The Casa Blanca, I met a gentleman whom I asked to guide me in my 12 step work. He offered as much help as he could… the rest was up to me. The only one thing, besides his amazing stories of miracles; that REALLY stayed with me, is that he said that he “was” a Hopeless Dopefiend, and that he now “is” a DOPELESS HOPEFIEND..! This is my strive, this is my goal, this is the HOPE in my “intention” for my fellow man in the depths of addiction. There are miracles to share, just like this one all over the world.
