During a planning meeting today, the hostess asked each of us to choose a heart and share a personal ministry memory that reflected that word. As each woman shared, heartfelt gratitude to God flowed freely along with laughter and tears, as we reflected on the past four decades.

I was encouraged by the reunion of our faith-filled friendship that still remained although some had not connected for years.

I left the meeting reminded once again that God is “amazing” and can do more than we ask or imagine. I also left with this wooden heart as a reminder as I headed to lunch with friends.

Imagine my surprise when I opened this bracelet gift from my friend. I could almost hear God chuckle as He showed up and showed off that He is Amazing Amazing.

Happy 30th birthday to my son, John Samuel in heaven. I’m thanking God today for his brief life that continues to impact multitudes.

To celebrate today, I’m wearing the shirt I hung on my labor room wall. It became the theme for me, my family and friends. They even wore their matching shirts at the hospital. I still try to live daily focused on Mountain Mover and not on the mountain.

To thank God for my son’s “30th”, I’ve enjoyed spreading hope this year to multiple people in multiple ways: $30, 30 minutes of my time, 30 books, 30 bracelets, 30 cards, 30 texts. 30 calls, 30 prayers, and through 30 random acts of kindness.
