CARS NEEDED!

A little "behind the curtain" information for our supporters: two of the biggest challenges for SLO REP is arranging for housing and transportation for the dozens of visiting artists who perform on our stage each season.

This January, we have several incredible guest artists coming in from around the country to perform in BEEHIVE, the biggest musical of our season. While we have arranged for housing these artists, we are still looking for a couple of cars for them to use from January 15- March 10.

Since this is constant challenge, we are considering purchasing some used cars to have on hand throughout the year for our company to use during their contracts.

So, if you (or know of anyone who) might consider loaning, donating, or selling a used car that will have a new, exciting life as a SLO REP company vehicle, please contact me at [email protected].

Thanks in advance for your support! We couldn't do it without you!

A cold and strong storm system will bring dangerous conditions to the coastal waters Tuesday through Thursday or Friday with large and steep seas capable of capsizing vessels or breaking vessels off of anchors. Breaking waves may occur at Ventura and Moro Bay Harbor entrances.

San Simeon Coast

02/12/2021

The elephant seals are a pillar of the central coast. They love it here and we are lucky to have them. In the 90’s the population increased to the point that they started crossing HWY 1, so they installed various fences and barriers. Now they are safe from people and it’s one of the largest rookeries in the area with the population around 17,000 on the San Simeon shores.
Right now is birthing and breeding season. The noisy pups are born and nursed, then left after about 2 months to fend for themselves. The mother mates with a bull and leaves the pup to start the process over to do it again the next Jan-March.
