Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) students: Starting in January 2026, all Chapter 35 beneficiaries will be required to verify their enrollment each month to receive their education benefit payments.

Your enrollment for December has been automatically verified by VA. No action is needed from you to receive your monthly payment.

All non-Chapter 35 beneficiaries should continue verifying their enrollment as usual.

Today, in 1979, Congress established Vet Centers as an extension of VA. Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers. They offer a wide range of services to Veterans and their families and can help you successfully transition from military service to civilian life.
