♻️ LABOR DAY CLOSURE — CLEAN UP DAY IS STILL ON!

The Vigo County Solid Waste Management District will be CLOSED Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

However, our Clean Up Day WILL still take place this Saturday, September 5!

Even though it’s Labor Day weekend, we’ll be open Saturday and ready to help you get rid of unwanted items.

🚨 UPDATE: Our dumpsters are now FULL! 🚨

Thank you to everyone who came out to today's Vigo County Solid Waste District Community Clean-Up. Because of the incredible turnout, all of our dumpsters have reached capacity and we are no longer able to accept additional items today.

If you missed this month's event, don't worry! We host our Community Clean-Up on the first Saturday of every month, giving Vigo County residents another opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items responsibly.

You can also take advantage of the City of Terre Haute's Community Clean-Up, which is held on the second Saturday of each month.

⚠️Eligibility Requirements- You are eligible if you:
• Receive a monthly City of Terre Haute sewer bill,
OR
• Live within the incorporated city limits

✔️ You must bring a City of Terre Haute sewer bill for entry. If you do not have a copy of your bill, you can visit the Sewage Billing Department at City Hall. Electronic bills are acceptable.

Only one drop-off trip per residence.

🇺🇸 Holiday Closure Notice 🇺🇸

The Vigo County Solid Waste Management District will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

We will reopen Monday, July 6, for our regular recycling services.

Our next County Cleanup Day will be Saturday, August 8.

🇺🇸 Reminder for Vigo County Residents 🇺🇸

Due to the Fourth of July holiday, the Vigo County Solid Waste Management District's First Saturday County Cleanup will not be held this month.

Our monthly cleanup is canceled because the holiday falls on the first Saturday. We appreciate your understanding as our staff enjoys the holiday with their families.

The County Cleanup will return on the first Saturday of next month. We look forward to seeing everyone then!

As a reminder, the City of Terre Haute holds a monthly clean up event the second Saturday of each month. As long as you have a city sewage bill you are eligible to use their services.

♻️ Vigo County Solid Waste Management District Closed for Juneteenth

In observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, the Vigo County Solid Waste Management District will be closed on Friday , June 19.

Our office, electronics recycling, document shredding drop-off, and other district services will resume normal operations on the next business day.
