FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Slow Down Move Over Inc. is asking the public to keep tow operator Michael Love in their prayers after he was critically injured in a roadside incident a few days ago.
According to reports from the scene, Michael was struck by a passing commercial vehicle that failed to move over while he was working roadside. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted by Life Flight for emergency medical treatment.
This incident serves as another heartbreaking reminder of the dangers faced every day by towing and recovery operators, first responders, DOT personnel, and roadside service providers across the country. These men and women work inches away from high-speed traffic to help stranded motorists and keep roadways safe, yet far too many drivers continue to ignore Move Over laws.
Slow Down Move Over Inc. urges all drivers to pay attention behind the wheel, reduce speed, move over whenever possible, and respect emergency and roadside workers. One careless moment can permanently change lives.
At this time, we ask everyone to keep Michael Love, his family, friends, coworkers, and the responding crews in your thoughts and prayers as he fights through this difficult time.
Please remember:
Move Over. Slow Down. Save Lives.
