Received from really good feedback from Eric B., a Cardinal operator.

Before Electroair, typical flight at 7-8,000ft, 50deg LOP, Eric would see 136KTAS and 8.2gph.

Now after the Electroair dual system was installed, he is reporting the following for the same flight:

Same Fuel Flow: 154KTAS (13% increase in airspeed)
Same True Air Speed: 7.1gph (12% fuel savings)

Eric did replace a Bendix single drive, dual magneto.

Not too bad!

I wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we are with our Electroair’s EI. I have overseen maintenance for our Flying Club for over 20 years. We decided, for our Piper Archer at engine overhaul, that we wanted to improve the performance and reliability of the airplane. After much research, we decided on the Electroair system. With over 20 different personalities flying the airplane it's sometimes difficult to make a change. This was one of our best decisions for the aircraft. We are seeing improved performance, improved starts, even the hot ones and averaging 1.5 gallons of fuel savings per hour. I did the math on that recently. We have now put 600 hours on the engine since the install, 20 months ago, so we are well on our way to not only recovering the cost of the system but the install as well. This fact alone, especially now with increased fuel cost, is huge. Our maintenance schedule is strict. We perform oil changes every 40 hours, plug rotation on the top every 80 hours. These were replaced with fine wire at the 400-hour mark. The lower ones, where the EIS system is installed, have only needed cleaned and gapped to date.
Support for the system has been nothing short of outstanding; response is quick. Darrell Pool has been helpful from day one, to getting my IA through the install, to questions along the way. I have recommended this system to anyone who asks. Compared to the other systems, , it's apples to lemons.

Should you purchase the ElectroAir for your airplane? Nobody can tell you that. However, you should certainly investigate the system and make an informed decision if it is right for you and your aviation goals.

I'd love to tell you the ElectroAir can do magical things but as of this moment, the ignition has not reduced my baldness or made me younger. However, it has resulted in a noticeable positive difference in the airplane.

I fly a Cessna 182P with a PPONK engine. I've noticed better performance after the ignition was installed a couple of years ago. I now have about 600 hours on it.

I can now idle at 650-700 RPM without a problem. I also fly LOP and I burn less fuel than I used to. My average cruise speed is in the 140-knot range with your average weather conditions. Why does there always have to be a little headwind?

Maybe the most important thing I can share is that from experience, my engine performance would be worse without it and I'm not removing it. No way.

My opinion is the ElectroAir system was the best performance enhancement I've made to the aircraft.

I don't regret the purchase at all. Part of that enthusiasm is absolutely linked to the ElectroAir distributor Darrell Pool from Smooth Power, LLC who provides exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable support, and advice. I didn't just purchase an electronic ignition system because what I received was a fantastic product with world-class support.

Hello,
I own a fixed-gear piper saratoga and have just recently had your system installed. I wanted to give an initial pirep. WOW!! The plane is happier. It starts better, runs smoother, has more power, with no more plug fouling after taxiing. SUPER STOCKED on this purchase! I see about 4 kts increased cruise speed with better performance all around. I can feel the difference on takeoff roll but I cannot give any numbers on it. Also it can cruise on less gph at the same speeds as before. Passengers will love my ability to run the engine LOP with no roughness and the airframe surely appreciates it too.
