The 30th Anniversary celebration is officially starting, and the FIRST WAVE of Pokémon 30th Anniversary products is now available for pre-order!

This first wave includes the 30th Anniversary items releasing in September only — so this is just the beginning. More anniversary products will be coming later as additional waves are announced and made available.

For collectors, this is definitely one of those releases we expect to get a LOT of attention. If there are products from the September wave you already know you want, we highly recommend getting your pre-orders in early.

🎉 32 SEATS. FREE MAGIC DRAFT. TONIGHT. 🎉

We’ve been making some BIG changes at the shop, and with our newly expanded play area, we now have 32 seats ready to fill!

So we thought… what better way to celebrate than to try and fill EVERY SINGLE ONE of them?

🔥 FREE MAGIC: THE GATHERING DRAFT TONIGHT! 🔥

💰 Entry: FREE
🪑 32 players max — first come, first serve!
⏰ Come in starting at 5:00 PM to grab your seat
🎴 Draft starts at 6:00 PM

There’s no preorder, no entry fee, and no catch — just come hang out, draft some Magic, and help us break in the new play space!

Once all 32 seats are claimed, we’re full, so if you want in, we recommend getting here early.

This is just one of the first things we want to do as we continue expanding and improving the store. We want the shop to be a place where people can come together, play games, meet new people, and have an awesome time.

🚨 BIG CHANGES ARE STARTING! 🚨

If you’ve been in the shop recently, you may have noticed that our play area has already started looking a little different!

We’ve added more seating and changed up the layout, and this is just the first of several big changes we have coming. 👀

We’re also excited to finally share that we are officially leasing the building directly next door to us! 🎉

The additional space will allow us to expand our retail area, play space, office space, storage, and overall operation. There’s going to be a lot happening over the next several months, and we plan on posting updates along the way so you can watch the store grow with us.

With the extra seating, one of our biggest goals is to get even more people coming down to the shop to actually play games regularly—whether that’s Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Lorcana, Gundam, Digimon, Dice Throne, YU-GI-OH board games, or anything else.

So we wanted to get your opinion on something we’ve been discussing:

Today is the official release day for Magic: The Gathering — The Hobbit! We still have a limited amount of product available from last weekend, so stop by while supplies last!

Never drafted before? No problem! You’ll start with 3 Play Booster packs, draft cards alongside the other players at your table, build a deck from what you drafted, and then play in a tournament for even more packs!

We pride ourselves on having some of the best prize support in the Gorge, so if you’ve been wanting to try drafting, this is a great night to jump in!

Our 7-Week Hobbit Booster League runs Aug. 11 – Sept. 22!

💰 $35 to join

Your NEW Prerelease Kit includes:

HOW IT WORKS

Build your deck using only cards opened for Booster League.

Each week you’ll purchase and add 1 booster pack to your league pool. If you lose a round, you’ll also have the option to purchase 1 additional booster pack to help improve your deck.

🏆 IMPORTANT RULES

• All players must purchase a NEW $35 Prerelease Kit to enter the league.

• Extra Prerelease Kits purchased during Prerelease Weekend cannot be used for league entry.

• Packs won as prizes during Prerelease Weekend cannot be used as your weekly league packs.

• Weekly league packs must be purchased through the store.

These purchases are what help support the league prize pool, rewards, and end-of-season trophies, so we appreciate everyone following the same system!

🎲 Dice Throne League Is Coming to Saturdays! 🎲

We’re excited to start hosting Dice Throne League every Saturday, and we’ll be kicking things off with our first tournament!

📅 Saturday, August 15
⏰ 2:00 PM
💵 $5 entry

The entry fee will help cover prizes, including Dice Throne promo cards and Slam Throne packs!

We’ll be using the official Bring 3, Ban 1 tournament format:

• Bring three different Dice Throne heroes.
• At the beginning of each round, your opponent bans one of your heroes, and you ban one of theirs.
• Each player then chooses which of their two remaining heroes they want to play.
• Each round is one 30-minute game.
• We’ll use Swiss pairings, so you’ll continue playing throughout the tournament even if you lose a round.

Don’t have three heroes yet? That’s completely fine! We’ll have a few store copies available for players to use, and we also have plenty of heroes available for purchase.

Never played Dice Throne before? The easiest way to describe it is Battle Yahtzee! You roll your dice up to three times, keeping the dice you want between rolls as you try to activate your hero’s attacks and abilities. Each hero also has their own deck of cards that can upgrade abilities, change dice rolls, defend against attacks, and help turn the battle in your favor.

It’s easy to learn, every hero plays differently, and it’s a ton of fun. Whether you’re already an experienced player or have never played before, come join us as we start building our local Dice Throne community!

📣 Big Week Ahead at Gorge Pokeshop!

This week will be a busy one as we prepare for the release of Magic: The Gathering—The Hobbit!

There have been some shipping delays with the product, so as soon as it arrives, our team will be working hard to package online shipments and prepare all in-store pickup orders.

Because of this, we will be closed Wednesday, August 5, to focus on release preparations. We will be open our normal hours for the remainder of the week.

🏴‍☠️ New One Piece Starter Decks

We also have all of the new One Piece starter decks available! These will be limited to two per person.

🧙 The Hobbit Prerelease Schedule

• Friday at 6:00 PM: Two-Headed Giant
• Saturday at 12:00 PM: Solo Prerelease
• Saturday at 6:00 PM: Solo Prerelease
• Sunday at 12:00 PM: Two-Headed Giant

🎁 Prize Support

Every prerelease event will include additional prize packs for players!

The winner of each solo event will receive a sealed Play Booster Box. For our Two-Headed Giant events, each player on the winning team will receive their own sealed Play Booster Box!

Preorders will be available for pickup beginning Friday, and we will also have products available for purchase in-store on release day!

We want to clear up some confusion regarding preorders showing as sold out. This does not mean that we will have no product available on release day. We intentionally limit how much inventory we make available for preorder.

That being said, preordering is still the best way to guarantee that you receive the product you want. It also locks in the preorder price, as prices are subject to change once the product officially releases.

We strongly encourage preordering whenever possible to secure your product and receive the best available price.

We are unfortunately closed again today due to repairs. Tomorrow hours are tentative to clean up today. We plan to be open 11 am tomorrow 8/1/26. Sorry for any inconvenience, we appreciate your business and support! Feel free to call us with any questions you may have.

Just a heads up—we're sorry for the late notice, but we are closed today while we complete some upgrades to the shop!

Due to the noise and machinery that needs to be used inside today, we've decided to close for the day for everyone's safety while the work is being completed.

We'll update you all later today on our progress. We expect to be open as normal tomorrow, but we'll confirm that later today.

We're still open for online orders! Our staff is here—we just won't be allowing customers inside.
