Starting January 1, 2024 all medical industry businesses now must submit and apply for all employees to be credentialed by OMMA in order to work in the industry. You must submit proof of identity, state background check dated within 30 days, attestation regarding national background check and a $30 application fee will apply for each employee in your facility. These must all be submitted in the OMMA portal by January 31st for all current staff members. Beginning Feb.1, 2024 new employees at a licensed facility will have to have their valid credentials before employment begins. Have you noticed on METRC you can't harvest more than 100-150 plants at a time? This makes your strains that are over that many plants have to be broken into several harvest batches. Save time and money on testing by harvesting up to 500 plants per strain by uploading a CSV file of your plants. We at SMRT offer a METRC CSV training for anyone that needs assistance on how to do these files accurately and efficiently. We also offer a template that you can reuse to make it super easy and smooth when uploading your plant tags and weight. We highly recommend keeping your testing records separate from your B2B manifests and invoices. It is best practice to keep a copy of the Sample Field Log, Manifest, and Invoice stapled together each time you send off testing samples to the labs. Our clients typically keep these in their Compliance Binder under the Samples & Waste department. We have seen numerous inspections where these are asked to be seen and keeping them in a safe organized area that is easily accessible is key.
