Don’t get me wrong. There are LOTS of great lessons from this season. I wouldn’t be who I am without the CHALLENGES.
I lived out of a suitcase for YEARS. I said YES to every single opportunity. Despite every challenge it personally cost me. I was a single, widowed mom at the time, & I thought saying yes to everything was HOW I was going to rebuild financially.
I even sold my house & moved into a tiny house (not kidding) Because I was literally NEVER home.
& sure, it “LOOKS COOL” traveling everywhere. People tagging you in their content. People excited when you follow them back.
At the end of the day, most of what I was chasing was what I THOUGHT success looked like in this industry.
What I didn’t know was that I could create MY OWN version of success. I could still have impact & NOT MISS bedtime. Not miss multiple days. Not miss most weekends with my BABIES.
I don’t expect a lot of comments on this one.
I know I’m talking to a SMALL slice of the industry.
But to every EDUCATOR out there, I SEE you. I know how hard it is. I know what you’re sacrificing.
