In business since 2001, Beehivefund is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in providing practical solutions to companies to gain higher workforce productivity, higher profit margins, lower operational costs, and more skillful workforce to achieve profitable growth. We do this by providing local expertise for technical, managerial, sales/marketing, operational, and cul

tural improvement. Our typical customer is a business who is faced with the challenge of sales & revenue growth, employee retention, regulatory compliance, process optimization, customer service, and quality issues. In particular, our services include training in technical and soft skills (about 30% of our involvement with clients) and implementing rapid improvement changes in organizational operations (about 70% of our involvement with clients). Our projects typically yield 5 – 7 times ROI to our clients.

Field Trips are "sew" much fun!! Dr. Sanju Patro took time out from her busy schedule this November to attend the Business Incubator Day at Connect Community's Fabric Forge HTX, a textile manufacturing, education and entrepreneurship hub in Houston. Joining other community partners on a tour of Connect's new facility, she saw where BeehiveFund has been teaching regular process improvement workshops. While there, she also got to catch up with BeehiveFund Network Member Rachel Greene of Bayou Microfund, a Platform Partner Hub of Kiva US.

In a recent development workshop series funded by the United Way of Greater Houston for at-home childcare providers, BeehiveFund helped attendees better understand their costs, current market prices for their services, and the value their businesses offer.

According to the US Chamber of Commerce, “a robust childcare system supports a healthy workforce and economy… The lack of childcare affects more than just parents. Because of gaps in the childcare system, businesses may be unable to fully staff their operations, leading to facility closures or reduced hours of operation across all industries. Absences and employee turnover cost employers anywhere from $400 million to $3 billion a year, according to a U.S. Chamber Foundation study.”

Some might think setting up and running a successful home-based childcare business is is just “Kid Stuff.” The United Way knows it’s not that easy, and that’s why BeehiveFund was selected to work with them to offer a six-part series of professional development workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions to better prepare childcare providers for success. This program reaches more than 800 providers spanning six Texas counties.

We love working with nonprofits on meaningful projects just as much as we love helping businesses continuously improve!
