Lengthy Post Warning of a Day and Life of a Business Owner: 😅
Day 2 (Yesterday): After getting a load of bad material Bradley demanded the gentleman that runs the pit come out and review what he was giving us. He was very transparent and firm. Bradley said “THIS WILL NOT CUT IT.” After Pit Owner said he would address and fix the problem with the proper mix of clay/sand he continued to send us Common Fill.
At that point Bradley shut every single truck off and told that gentleman this doesn’t work for me. I will not accept anymore of your material. Turn your trucks around. I’m done. (few other choice words were added and his blood pressure was relatively elevated at this point 🙃)
We drove to 3 different pits all over this area to check on material ourselves, as we aren’t from Freeport and material down here is more scarce then back home.
3rd time was a charm! We found an excellent pit and the guys and trucking have been phenomenal!
But that is what it takes folks!!!! Some companies would’ve continued on and used the trash material to build a pad… COULDN’T BE US! 🤷♀️😮💨
