What we offer:
The Glam Range: this range of ceramic ware is inspired by the amazing cultures and uniqueness that is Africa. It is painted with a Non Toxic, child safe and quick drying Acrylic paint. It is left to dry overnight where-after it is sealed with a non-toxic waterproof sealant. This sealant dries hard and gives the pieces their characteristic shine. This range is intended to be more ornamental than practical and would give any home the little bit of “glam” it deserves. The Glazed Urban Range: this range of ceramic ware is painted using two distinctly different types of glazes. The one, sourced from a local store, is completely food and child friendly and can be used for wet or dry foods. Another type of glaze sourced from Potters Supplies and Mail Order is an Earthenware “Brush On” Glaze. We utilise this range as it has metallic colours available. While this glaze does contain traces of lead it is painted on the outside of the bowls or platters only therefore adding a little bit of glitz while at the same time remaining 100% food and child safe. The Luxury Range (bowls and platters): A true expression of creativeness and explosions of colour make the Luxury Range, as a collective, a moving, living art work. Each piece that is created add’s to the whole that is the “piece”. Each individual is Unique and special all on its own. Each piece is also individually named. It is painted utilising multiple layers of various colours and shades of the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. This Luxury Range is really intended for decorative purposes and should be considered pieces of art more than practical, functional, every day crockery. Furniture restoration – why buy new when you can enhance and overhaul the old (at a fraction of the cost)? The pieces are created by means of painting multiple layers of various colours and shades of the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint – often resembling the now very popular ‘French shabby chic” inspired look. Little Bear is also able to paint a more sleek and solid colour which, with a little bit of buffing (Once the wax is applied and completely dry) will come out sleek and oh so very chic – a complete overhaul for your current drab furniture with either design you choose. Mosaics: Little Bear is also able to do various mosaic pieces that can be commissioned for your specific purpose…
