Our goal is to serve our community by providing a quick and easy solution to your Notary and Motor Vehicle needs.

🚨NOW PROVIDING LICENSE/ID SERVICES🚨

along with all vehicle registration and title services as well as notary services, Dufrene’s Notary and Public Tag Agency is now providing the following License/ID services:

➕Driver’s License- with proper documentation, we can convert your TIP (temporary instructional permit) or learner’s permit to a Class E learner’s permit or Driver’s License. *we do not issue Temporary Instructional Permits

➕Driver’s License & ID Renewals- renew your driver’s license or state issued ID card.

➕”Hunter” and “Cajun” Endorsements- Louisiana citizens who have been issued a lifetime fishing license, a certificate of completion of a firearm and hunter education, or boating safety education program may elect to have a Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries endorsement added to a driver’s license

➕Driver’s License & ID Replacements- lost or stolen driver’s license/ID cards may be replaced

➕Handicap Placards- “hang tags” can be issued to customers who meet the state’s definition of “mobility impaired person”

➕Real ID- we can issue Real ID compliant driver’s licenses and ID cards

🚨Please note that our hours are currently limited to Monday & Wednesday from 9am-1pm, Tuesday & Thursday from 1pm-5pm, and Friday by appointment only.

🚨Please also note that proper documentation is required for all transactions. Feel free to call us at 985-492-1125 or visit the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicle website to see what you documentation you need to bring.

🚨Dufrene’s Notary and Public Tag Agency only accepts cash or checks.

*as a Public Tag Agent, Dufrene’s Notary & Public Tag Agency is authorized by Louisiana R.S. 47:532.1 to collect a convenience fee in addition to any state fees and taxes required. Services for which this fee is collected are also offered at the office of motor vehicles without payment of the convenience fee. Notary Services are also offered at an additional fee. Please call our office for information about fees charged.

we are officially open at 1009 Talbot Ave. in Thibodaux, in the same building as Thibodaux Driving School. Our current hours of operation are Monday thru Thursday from 9am to 4pm and on Fridays BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Soon we will extend those hours!

+who are we and what do we do?
we are an authorized provider for the Office of Motor Vehicles. that means that we give you a solution to all of your motor vehicle needs when you can’t make it to the DMV. We are authorized to perform transactions such as conversions of plates, transfers of plates, replacements of lost or stolen plates and/or stickers, registration renewals, duplicate registrations, and other applications or transactions as authorized by the commissioner.

After being open for almost two months, we finally have some signage (thanks to Southern Signs and Designs, as well Jody and Jesse Dufrene) that’ll make it easier for all of you to find us! 😉

we are currently open from 12pm-5pm Monday thru Thursday or by appointment on weekday mornings and Friday. we are located at 1009 Talbot Ave., and operate out of the same building as Thibodaux Driving School.

we are so grateful for all of our customers who have supported our business these past two months, and look forward to all new incoming customers in the future!

when was the last time you checked the status of your registration sticker? so often, notices get lost in our huge stacks of mail or we simply forget and never realize that we’ve been driving around with an expired license plate. 😬🤷🏻‍♀️

here’s your friendly reminder to check your registration sticker to make sure it’s not expired! if it is expired, come swing by Dufrene’s & PTA and let us renew your registration or handle any of your motor vehicle needs without the long wait! 😁
