Masterfully forged and crafted, these ulus and hunting knives each carry with them a story and a legacy. From the sourcing of their materials and delicate carving of their handles, to their use as a tool to those who used them. The traditional hunting knife streamlined the field dressing, skinning, and processing of big game like caribou and bears found in the cold environments up North. Their counterpart, Ulus, are commonly referred to as a "women's knife" and use their crescent-shaped blade to efficiently process food, clean animal skins, and even sew! Both styles are necessary tools in the survival of folks in the Arctic regions.
