No two people experience Sjögren’s disease the same way. The symptoms, severity and impact on daily life can vary widely from person to person.

⚽As part of Amgen's celebration of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as an Official Los Angeles Host City Supporter, we welcomed Jacob, a student living with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, to our Southern California headquarters to spend the day with employees, participate in Fan Fest activities and share his story.

During a conversation with Amgen's Michelle Carrillo, Jacob reflected on teamwork, resilience and the importance of having the right people around you: "Without your team, you can't win."

Silvia spent nearly 30 years searching for answers before receiving an IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) diagnosis.

IgG4-RD can affect different organs and resemble other conditions, making the path to diagnosis long and difficult. Along the way, Silvia continued asking questions, advocating for herself and pushing for answers.
