In 1972 I entered the U S Army and served 8 years in the Military Police. I then served in Public Law Enforcement until 1985 at which time I went full time in the Corporate Investigations and Security Industry. In 1990, I founded the Phillips Group where I have served the past 33 years as the CEO.
During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most professional people in our industry serving clients across the world. As with all things, sometime you have to realize when your time has come to step aside.
I leave, proud of what we, our team, has accomplished. I leave knowing that I have left the Company in good hands. Cody Cobb has shown he has what it takes to be responsive to our clients and how to lead this team onward to the next level. April Thomason has had a tremendous impact on the success of this company and will continue to work behind the scene as our Chief Admirative Officer.
I wish I could name all the names of those that have had an impact on my career. Some have retired, some have passed on and some continue on. All of you I give my heartfelt thank you for your loyalty, friendship and professionalism.
As I step aside, I do so with gratitude to all who have encouraged me during the rough times and shared our successes.
Thank you to our clients for allowing us to serve them and most of all, thank you to all the wonderful employees of The Phillips Group for allowing me to lead them these past 33 years
To my children and grandchildren, thanks for understanding of all the missed football, soccer and baseball games.
To Letha, who has stood by my side these past 20 years. Thanks for the thousands of notes I found in my backpack EVERY trip I've taken since we married. Thanks for you love and support. This Company would have never been what is is today without you.
Most of all, thanks to a Loving God who has always been there with me. Who rewarded my Faith with His Love. It's my greatest Honor to serve him.
