Becoming the advocate for change is sometimes hard and at times, unrewarding because even as an invited guest, asking someone to pivot slightly in their thinking sometimes means that relationships were damaged. Efforts to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives don’t just roll back progress for a few; they weaken workplaces, limit opportunities, and create environments where fewer voices are heard. Without DEI, we risk losing innovation, fairness, and the ability to build stronger, more inclusive communities.

This isn’t just about policies, it’s about people. Cutting DEI programs means ignoring disparities, reducing support for underrepresented groups, and setting back the progress we’ve fought for. Now is the time to push forward, not backward.
