Sometimes 1 must be sacrificed so that others may live😂. Anyone that recognizes what this is/was and what I had to do, knows just how much this pains me. Many machines will be kept going by the plethora of parts harvested.

On the left is the standard plastic drive hub(Whirlpool “better” models) with a HIGH failure rate. On the right is the New and updated metal hub assembly. Definitely a game changer allowing more machines to be repaired. The shaft of the gear box gets in bad shape at times and makes the plastic style a worthless repair as it won’t last. The newer metal one is stronger and allows a better fix and longevity of the appliance.

Sometimes it’s just good to update to newer style parts. The Cream colored roller on the left had been the standard for a regular duty Whirlpool dryer for years. The green one on the right is the heavy duty version used in the bigger more costly dryers. They are interchangeable and do a super job over the standard duty. Smoother and I think quieter. So if your dryer sound like it is running on a flat tire and thumping, may be time to upgrade. Also check the belt and pulley while in it. The pulley with the wheel is the best. They tried a half moon no wheel/ w slider for a few years. Nothing but junk. Change it all at one time to prolong the life.

Even the Good “Old Style” break on occasion. Don’t throw them away just because they are old. Especially if they are made by Whirlpool or in the Whirlpool family….fix em. Thank You Mr. Stephens for your business.

Quik Helpful Hint...We are a week away from Thanksgiving with lots of cooking to do. Now is NOT the time to use the Self Clean feature on your ovens. Self Clean mode holds the temperature of the oven between 900 &1000 degrees for an extended period of time. Most every year I get a last minute (last few days before) call from a customer, who has an element, sensor or the Worst, a Control Board has gone bad. While I try and keep most elements in stock, Boards (because of cost) are a special order item, and sometimes are on back order or not readily available. If you must clean, do a quick wipe down with a scotch bright pad to get any excess residue and let it be till after the holidays. Also if you don't use your stove or oven a lot, now is the perfect time to check all of the functions. Top burners turn on and change from High to low and back to High. Also run a quick oven check by setting your oven to 350 and let it come to temperature and hold for 15-20 minutes. Lastly turn to broil and make sure it is working. This way you can make sure to brown off that turkey, rolls, dressing or whatever other goodies you may be having.
