Planning an all natural birth for this baby and Iβm so proud of myself. Iβve been researching some techniques such as Hypnobirthing and the Curtis Method. You can literally breathe your baby out, sometimes without pushing.
With Hypnobirthing, women use a mixture of self-hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques to overcome pain in labour. The science is still out on this, but Iβve read some pretty amazing stories of mamas who have had huge successes with it.
Iβve also researched Home Birth Centers.
I had no idea they even existed the first time around. The biggest thing to expect from a home or birth center is support in your decision making process. They teach you the importance of trusting your body and they support natural births by offering a birthing suite that allows you to walk around during labor.
They cover topics at the center such as:
Developing Postpartum plans
Building your nest.
Meeting your needs as a mama...
Iβm excited learned that birthing is a cooling event with an adrenaline surge, so you need to do a lot of warming activities. You will get the shivers after baby. Postpartum is a huge piece that we donβt focus on in our culture. That is where I needed the most support with H.
Here are some tips I picked up:
Lay down for the first three days RS worth it. This will shave off weeks of being extra tired and in recovery after giving birth.
Listen to your bodyβs energy levels.
Eat energetic and anti inflammatory spices like cinnamon, turmeric, ginger.
Basically mamas, treat your body, mind, and spirit right. Giving birth is a total body experience that requires extra TLC. Plan and prepare, try new techniques, listen to your body, and remember to breathe.
