I have been in Kentucky for the North American Honey Bee Expo since Wednesday and truly enjoyed myself. I entered items in four categories ( Honey, Infused Honey, Beeswax, and Photography). There were over 1200 entries and 298 participants. I had a total of thirteen items entered. I won third place for photography in the first ever National Honeybee show, according to the judges.

I met some incredible people for the first time...Tim Paule from Detroit Hives and Mike from Booggie Down Bronx Honey. What do you know about these businesses?

I enjoyed some great bourbon during dinner at Bob's Steakhouse in the Omni hotel.

I had to leave a day early due to the weather...🥶🌫🌬✈️

Starting 2025 off with a bang! I won 🏆...

You never know who you will meet while traveling. I was sitting in the American Express lounge in the world's busiest airport, and they announced a celebration for the Executive Chef, Deborah VanTrece. So, I make my way over and join in on the celebration. I didn't know my former employer, Sodex, manages the lounge. Desmond Fannin , James H. Winkler or KiKi Barne, did you know this? I enjoyed the celebration...

She also owns Twisted Soul and Orethas in Atlanta. She just received a star from the Michelin Guide this week. So, I circled back a second time to get my honey in a recipe. We will see...stay tuned!
