When you have great leaders, others notice! We are so excited that Chrystal Richmond, Nurse Consultant, has been chosen to serve on the Policy Committee for LeadingAge Kansas!

This committee assists the LeadingAge Kansas Board of Directors and Government Affairs staff in setting and evaluating legislative priorities. The committee will offer guidance to the Government Affairs team, enabling LeadingAge Kansas to offer prompt input on impending or potential legislation, and to engage in or lead endeavors aimed at ensuring the efficient advancement and ex*****on of public policies related to aging services.

We are thankful that Chrystal will bring tremendous value and wisdom to this committee and serve as a voice for our rural providers!

We recently had the opportunity to participate in a team-building retreat led by Mo Kasti with the Center for Transformation & Innovation. Through the experience, we discovered just how strong our team truly is, learned more about our personalities, identified strengths/weaknesses/opportunities/threats, set meaningful goals for the future, and gained valuable direction on how we can continue to grow and improve together. What an incredible opportunity and experience for our team!

Today, she spoke at the National Apprenticeship Conference sharing what an impact apprenticeship programs can make in long term care! So many lives across the state have benefitted financially, and professionally, from our LEAP program and support from Kansas Apprenticeship.

I'm a little late sharing.....but we recently had a regional meeting in Manhattan. We did learn and share.....but we also had fun. ALOT OF FUN! (These are just a few pics from a scavenger hunt we did on KSU campus. There is a fun story behind each and every one!)
