Wow stellar newborn photo! I can't imagine having sever children under five but wow! What a beautiful gift!
Some of you may remember my maternity session with this stunning woman earlier this year (otherwise known as the beach maternity session heard 'round the world!), and I am positively delighted to finally be able to share a few pics from our newborn session with Kim and her beautiful quintuplets.
If you don't know her back-story, Kim and her husband Vaughn have two gorgeous girls (aged 2 and 4) and decided to try for baby #3 (possibly a boy?). They did not use fertility drugs, and were beyond shocked to discover that they were expecting a boy, along with four little girls...a one in 55 million chance pregnancy.
Kim has a page dedicated to her pregnancy (Surprised by Five) where you can read more about her story. Perhaps my favourite quote of hers was this -
"After my initial ultrasound I was told I could consider the selection method to give 2 babies the best chance in life... I watched a YouTube video on the procedure and I cried, I could never do that! Was I selfish for not giving two the chance of 100% survival?? All I know is that I already love them, and with every heartbeat I hear, I connect with them more."
Months later, here she is with her gorgeous little babies...each one perfect and healthy as can be. Kim endured an extremely demanding pregnancy, never wavering in her strength and determination to bring these babies safely into the world. She is an inspiration, and it was an honour to photograph her journey.
Kim and her beautiful babies, Penelope, Beatrix, Allison, Tiffany and Keith ❤️

As a side note, it is Kim and Vaughn's dream to be able to own a car that can fit all of their children (something a lot of us probably take for granted!). At the moment, they have to take three separate cars anytime they need to travel with the babies, which makes going anywhere as a family is all but impossible. I witnessed this first-hand when they arrived for their session...it was quite the epic ordeal!
If you would like to help Kim and Vaughn to achieve their dream, please consider donating to their Go Fund Me page - https://www.gofundme.com/surprisedbyfive Please feel free to share as well...it would be so wonderful if we could all work together to help such a deserving and beautiful family ❤️
