This one day I was pulling out from my office and turned right onto a small two lane road in a business park are. As I stepped on the gas I felt the car take off and then all of a sudden lose power and putter to a stop. "What the crap?"

I frantically looking around to see if anything big was wrong with my car and I saw nothing, but when my eyes glanced over my dash I noticed a bright orange light next to the fuel gauge signaling EMPTY.

"Ooooh yeaahh...!"
I have been noticing the gas light on for the last several days and I kept pushing it off until later. I knew there was a reserve tank so I knew I wasn't TOTALLY out of gas.
Well... apparently I used up the reserve, and I was at the REAL bottom of my tank.

I don't know about you, but I'm one of those that do NOT like going to the gas station. It feels like such a waste of time. Out of all the things I have in my day, that does NOT make my list of things to do.

It's easy to do the same with with our business.
How are you filling the spiritual gas tank for your business?
Did you know there was one?
What does that even mean?

It's simple.
Your business is either operating on God's fuel or man's fuel.
You either intentionally seek God for direction on specific things about your business and treat Him like your CEO or chairman of the board or not.

And the BEST way to ensure that you ARE is to fill the gas tank of your business with God every morning.

What does that look like?
What do you have to do?

It's simple.
Pray and read the bible.
You need BOTH.

If you only pray, that's like drinking a glass of water but not eating any meals during the day and expecting to have energy.
Not gonna happen.

If you only read the bible, it's like eating a meal without any water and being thirsty with a piece of food stuck in your throat.
Not good either.

You need both for it to benefit the spiritual body of your business the most.

But the human brain wants to question...
Does this REEAAALLY make a difference?

YES!
The world has programmed us to operate without God when we were ALWAYS meant to do business WITH Him.
Unknownst to most people, this is a MISSING essential in MANY businesses.

Just to keep it real...

Here's 5 examples of the RESULTS from my morning time with God in business decisions THIS WEEK (and it's only Wednesday :P).

1) PRICING & PACKAGES: 2 days ago God prompted me to re-look at my structure for our packages and pricing. I prayerfully laid out the variables we can play with and step by step while checking in with Holy Spirit started developing and researching new structure and options. In 1 hour, I had the outline of three new plans with various payment options. I've done this many times before, but doing it INTENTIONALLY with Holy Spirit gave me more peace and surrender than ever before. I'm super happy with the progress made in that hour. I think I was more efficient in doing that with Holy Spirit than any of my other times before. Who'd a thunk it?

2) MARKETING: Today Holy Spirit is really prompting me to get this message out. I meant to get it out yesterday and He is on my back about it today so I choose to be obedient and make sure I get it out today. This prompting came strongly during my morning time with God after scripture reading. Many times what I'm reading connects with something going on in that day and it moves me in the right direction. When you become used to this happening you don't want to operate without it!

3) FOLLOW-UP: As I review my list of people I need to follow-up with, there's always a list but I also review that list and seek God's prompting on any additional thoughts or ideas. As I reached out to someone today, what I was doing in #1 (above) was confirmed as the right move. I am looking forward to how God is going to tie a bow on all of it.

4) NEGOTIATIONS: While in the process of selling a piece of land, there are nuances to the negotiations and potentials offers on the table I am navigating. I seek God for guidance on the timing, terms and how to communicate them to the potential buyer. I just had an offer fall through and I have others in waiting. I surrendered the property to God and simply asked Him to make it clear how He wants me to steward it. It's not really mine anyways in the big scheme of things (it's God's) so He's got this. I have to remind myself of that when my flesh wants to control the timing, the buyer and terms. BREAATTHEEE!!! ^_^

5) FINANCES: While I spend time with God chatting and asking questions, He reminds me of the direction He will take me and what to let go and trust Him on and what to look into and steward in excellence. There are areas that I can tend to neglect and reviewing my To Do's with God always helps me keep my priorities on track.

"𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞, 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤."

The difference in the process of doing these everyday things with God is that I have more peace, calm, surrender, wisdom, confidence than ever before.

I no longer have the overhanging rush, pressure, stress, over-analysis, craziness from before.
Everything is so much easier.
Everything is so much lighter.
The only thing that's changed is God.
He is my fuel.
He is my guide.
He is my ultimate business consultant.

Just know that God is in the DETAILS of business and life.
Whether it's your relationship, health, finance or business, the FUEL you need is Holy Spirit and you need it DAILY.
Once you feel the difference it makes and how much BETTER EVERY DAY can be when you start with God in the morning, you won't want to stop.

TRUST in the fact that....
There is a way for you to spend time with God where it is EXCITING, INSPIRING, PRACTICAL and mood setting for the rest of the day.
There is a way for you to enjoy God's presence SOOOO much that you won't want to miss it.
This is not a chore or an obligation but a REAAALLY powerful part of life that many Christians haven't tapped into.

Not let your borning past experiences stop you.
There's a better way.
I promise.

Just be open to the possibility of AWESOMENESS in the morning with God where it's NEVER a burden and ALWAYS a joy.

For those of you who work out in the morning or have other morning rituals that get your day started out right...
Imagine one that is WAAAYYY better and even more practical!

In this time of shrinkage in the economy, it's easy to get into a fear mindset.
Don't.
Find comfort in the fact that God tells us SPECIFICALLY not to.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

BECAUSE...

Whenever God tells you to do something,
He will ALWAYS give you the means to do it.
His command NEVER comes without provision.

So you must OWN the fact that God gave you the tools NOT be anxious.
Even when sales are decreasing,
Even when clients are dropping like flies,
Even when the market is screaming "uh oh".

The only way you can hold on without worrying is with God as your CENTER.
HE grounds you.
HE chases away the fear.
HE covers you in peace.

As God's people,
We have something that no one can take away.
God's provision and peace.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"

So yes, be smart,
Cut unnecessary expenses WHILE you review them with God.
See if He is telling you to keep something you want to cancel,
Or if He is tell you to cancel something you want to keep.
You MUST remember that He knows the future.
Don't underestimate who is on your side.

LEAN into God as you're getting LEAN.

Tap into that supernatural wisdom.
Tap into the infinite resource.
Tap into the divine guidance.

One of the best ways to TAP into this is to read scripture.
It's like speed-dial to God's hotline with the best reception.
Done right, the bible is your source for divine business consultation,
As well as a weapon against fear, confusion and control.

3 Steps to Lean into God while getting Lean

1) Make a list of the expenses you want to review
- Make sure to do this first.

2) Read Scripture
- This clears up your communication channel with God.

3) Ask Holy Spirit to guide you and go over each item WHILE checking in with Holy Spirit to see if you feel Him moving you to cut or keep
- As you review each item ask "Holy Spirit what about this one?"
- You may want to repeat this for several days to a week depending on the level of clarity you want. If unsure, keep asking the next day.

No matter what is going on in your market right now, you must believe in that "The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."

You are NOT meant to go into a mad panic due to the market.
God is WAAAYYY bigger than that.
You are to STAND FIRMLY in the truth that God says...

"I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land"

However, if you don't consume or read scripture, there is little foundation in your heart or mind regarding God's truth.

It's like the difference between knowing all the right scripts and objection handlers by heart and going on an appointment versus having read it once and trying to handle objections.

The devil is planting objections to God's truth in your mind...
"You are so screwed."
"The market is tanking. Start worrying."
"You're going to fail."

If you are strong in God's word, then you have immediately access to your memorized objection handlers (aka scripture)...
"If God is for me who can be against me."
"I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."
"All things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Then you can put a sizzling finger on your hip and say...
Sssstt!
Can't touch this! ^_-
BOOM!

Be wise,
Be smart,
In this shifting market,
But always remember to...
LEAN into GOD as you're getting LEAN.

You have the gift of entrepreneurship.

What does that mean?
So what?
Is that a good thing?

It depends.

How are you doing business?

Are you doing it by yourself?
Are you pulling yourself up by your bootstraps?

Do you have a partner?
How about a supernatural one?
How about one that can make life easier and more joyful?

I'm talking about God.
Have you ever considered Him your business partner?
Have you ever thought of Him as a $1 Million Dollar consultant?

God is the creator of the universe...
He created the laws of physics,
Personally crafted your DNA,
Commands the sea and the sky,
The heaven is His throne,
The earth is His footstool.

He's also our Big Daddy-o.
Our Father in Heaven,
Our Best Friend,
And Business Partner extraordinaire!

What if you're not meant to do business with only humans.
Yes, you may have a "team", but who is molding and shaping YOU?
Who is renewing your mind?
Who is feeding your soul?
Who gives you purpose?

If it's anyone else but God,
The satisfaction will be temporary,
The level of thinking will be small.

God's plan is SOOOOOOO much better than yours.
It's SOOOOO much better an any human plan.

So why not consider...
Doing daily morning huddles with God?
Asking God questions?
Strategizing with Him?

"How?" you ask?
Simple.
There's a 5 Step Process that is Logical, Practical, and Spiritual.
It is a tool to get you from doing it all yourself...
To getting divine inspiration on a daily basis.

It reduces stress,
Increases peace and inspiration.
It quiets the noise,
It heightens your senses.
It cancels out distractions,
Focuses your thoughts on the right priorities.

It's a process that empowers you to let GOD do His thing in your life and your business.

The "bad guys" can know things that the "good guys" don't.

We see it in movies all the time...
Star Wars (Luke Skywalker) - the "force" is strong with Luke and the villains want to turn him into one of them.
The Lion King (Simba) - the rightful heir to the throne is harassed by his jealous uncle.
Terminator (John Connor) - future villains send assassins to the past to kill a future leader.
Matrix (Neo) - the "system" knows Neo will be the new reset and does everything they can to stop him before he realizes his power and purpose.

The "bad guys" know how potential power of the "good guy" before he taps into it.

It was like that with Jesus.
"Demons came out of many people...
they knew he was the Messiah."
They were like "OMG! You're the Son of God! What are you doing here? Why are you bothering us?" (paraphrasing), but Jesus shut them up.

Jesus was like "Sssshht!... not right now, fools! www.Zipit.com."

The enemy recognized Jesus BEFORE his disciples.
The irony!

Here's a more modern example...

There's a Fortune Top 10 company, that is looking to hire a new breed of CEO's starting from scratch.
No experience required!
It has well-paying salaries, perks and bonuses and the best retirement plan on the planet that no one else is offering.

The only requirement is that you are learning-based, coachable and follows directions.
This employer has 100% success rate of training his CEO's so this is like a dream job!

The crazy thing is...
They were looking for anyone in the organization that can be promoted, but there's not enough applicants.
So now the position has been opened up to ANYONE who applies!
Basically, if you apply, the position is yours.
But... STILL short-handed!!!
What the heck?!?!

Why? How?...

Behind the scenes an evil competitor who is lying, scheming and sabotaging the candidates for the job.
This competitor never even made any of the Fortune Top List and was banned for life for fraudulent reporting of numbers.

This competitor uses lies, threats, distractions and fear tactics to prevent applications.
Many never make it over to the Fortune Top 10 company's application.
Many get distracted into applying for the wrong company due to fraudulent emails sent by the competitor.

So many ways to get distracted or lost...

The same tragedy happens to us all the time.
We get sucked into the fake version of what God has to offer.
We get caught up in "life" on this world and forget to spend time with God or seek Him at all.

It's a vicious cycle.
Somethings gotta give.
Here's a simple start.

Pray...
"God, give me the desire to desire you.
Change my heart.
Break the cycle of distraction and disappointment.
I hand you the keys to my heart.
It's all yours.
Amen."

Do that for 1 week and see what happens.
Set a reminder alarm to pray that every day.
I double-dog dare you.
Ready. Set. Alarm!

Happy Birthday dear Jesus...
Happy Birthday to You!!!~~~

There's no doubt that Jesus changed the course of history and civilization as we know it.

His birth was the making of some incredible historical impact.
How the World counts time - B.C. (Before Chris) vs A.D. (Anno Domini, the year of our Lord)
The Bible - talk about a New York Best Seller for 2000 years in a row!
Christmas - one of the most celebrated holidays in the world.
The spiritual impact was even greater.
"Normal people" could not talk to God directly. Only the highest purified priests had this honor.
Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice so we no longer have to make animal sacrifices to God according to the old laws.
24/7 access to Holy Spirit by everyone. This is only possible because Jesus came and died for us. We take this great honor for granted because He is so easily accessible.
Getting "saved" is as easy as accepting Jesus into your heart. It doesn't get simpler than that.
It's easy to make Christmas all about gifts, parties and family... which is great.
But let's remember the real gift and sacrifice of Jesus.

Here's a couple creative ways to thank Jesus from the heart.
1) Write Jesus a Birthday Letter
2) Buy Jesus a Birthday Card
3) Buy Jesus a Birthday Present

THEN...
1) Spend quiet alone time with Jesus reading your card or letter and presenting your gift to Him.
2) Pick a couple worship songs to play and just celebrate Jesus and bask in His glory (kinda like setting the mood for a date).
3) Write down on paper or a journal the thoughts you are getting from your alone time. What you feel Jesus is saying to you or bringing up in your thoughts.
4) Respond with your own comments and questions on that same paper. Listen once again for any emerging thoughts or leading of the Spirit.

Just carve out some special ALONE TIME with Jesus.
I think that is one of the best presents you can give Him as time is our most valuable asset.

If you only knew how much Jesus craves to spend alone time with You.
In quiet.
In silence.
No distractions.
Just you and Him.

Make that your present to Him for His birthday.

"Dear Jesus,
Happy Birthday!
Thank you for coming down to this rotten earth to save us from death.
Thank you for bothering to save a race that you can easily replace with a single breath.
Thank you for not scrapping us Humans 1.0 and moving onto Humans 2.0.
Thank you for dying a gruesome death to save us all.

Show us how we can salute you,
How we can honor you,
How we can put a smile on Your face and a pep in Your step.
Make this Christmas all about You and not about us.
Create in me a humble and grateful heart.
Make me holy and pleasing to You.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen."

HOW TO APPLY:
- Be available and willing.
- Call 1-800-PRAY-NOW

"Dear God,
I'm available.
I'm a hot mess, but I'm available.
Teach me.
Show me your ways.
Clean me up.
Use me to move the kingdom forward... whatever that means.
I don't know what I don't know.
Lead the way.

“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

God is looking for recruiters for his kingdom.

Holiday feasts come and go, but your health will always be a part of you.

God has a few things to say about your health if you're willing to listen.

The truth is, there are many lies we tell ourselves around health and food.

"I don't have time for that."
"That's not possible for me."
"That's not my thing."

Oh contraire, my friend...

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?"

Many times, we forget how everything is so connected.

In my recent health journey, I realized that the condition of my body and the food I ate affected the following:

- Mental clarity
- Hyperactivity
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Peace
- Focus
- Joy

When God said our body is a temple...

HE WASN'T KIDDING!

Our body is literally the TRIGGER for bad things and good things.

What we eat and drink affects our work, conversations, thoughts, mental health, EVERYTHING.

We GRAVELY underestimate the power of food, our body and what is connected.

Unbeknownst to us, we have slow become addicted to food and the "feeling" from eating.
We feel connected to others through eating and dining together.
While this is not a bad thing, when we get angry if food doesn't go our way, that's a RED FLAG!
You may be in deeper than you think.

Before you know it, food has become shackles in our lives.
It consumes our thoughts.
It drives our actions.
(Trust me, I know)

In times of being "hangry", remember this...

"You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."

Yes, God wants you to enjoy food, health, fellowship.
But like anything, the enemy will take what God meant for good and warp it and twist it.

I used to think about food all the time.
I still do, but less.
I know how consuming food can be.
I called myself a "foodie"... but in reality I had an addiction that was socially acceptable.

Food is a high functioning addiction that is "normal" for so many of us.

But I urge you be aware.
Be careful.

And ask God, "Does my relationship with food DELIGHT You?"
Listen.
Wait.
Write down what you hear, sense or feel.

See what God has to tell you about your health and relationship with food.

As feasts around Jesus' birthday the New Year parade into your life... start taking the right steps in your health.
Do it with God.

Plan Health with God.

God will guide you if you ask.

"God,
Open my spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear,
Around my body and food.
Remove my blinders, in Jesus name.
Show me how to DELIGHT You.
Transform me.
Grant me the desire to treat my body as Your temple.
Grant me a healthy relationship with food.

Help me put You FIRST before food.
I submit my flesh to You.
Show me the way,
Help me follow.
I declare victory in Jesus name, Amen."

This topic is very different.
Sit with it.

Grab a pen and paper...

Ask God the following:
1) God, what do you want to tell me about my health and relationship with food?
2) What vision do you have for me around my health?
3) What challenges or fears do I need to lay down at your feet around my health?
4) What are the lies I'm believing around my health?
5) What truth do you have for me in exchange about my health?

Thank God for the feedback.
He's got you!
