🏆 Our candidate brings more than 25 years of public sector experience, including serving as Assistant City Manager, Deputy City Manager and Acting City Engineer for the City of Milpitas, where he led citywide operations which included major infrastructure projects and capital improvement programs.

🤩 Prior to that, Matt spent 24 years with the City of San José in senior leadership roles, including Director of Public Works/City Engineer. During his time in San José, he held leadership roles on over $1 billion of infrastructure bond programs, oversaw a wide variety of capital improvement programs such as the City’s parks, community center, and trails programs, and expanded local and small business procurement programs.

There is no better way to kick off a new month than to celebrate the placement of one of our rock stars!!

Congratulations to Bill Kolb on his recent appointment as the City of Mountain View’s new Assistant Library Director. Our candidate has worked in Bay Area public libraries since 2006, with stops in Contra Costa, San Francisco, and most recently, the City of Berkeley. In addition to his extensive library experience, our candidate also offers background in logistics, journalism, and information technology. Perfect, right!?!

Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in English at Cal State East Bay and his MLIS from San Jose State University. He was also a 2010 California Library Association Eureka Leadership Institute Fellow and a long-time member of the Pacific Library Partnership Staff Development Committee.
