Bruce J. Reinfeld. " #4 Graffiti Triptych," mixed media | Lot 1202

Three panels that shift as you do. Bruce J. Reinfeld built this 2006 triptych using a lenticular approach layered with mixed media on canvas, so the surface refuses to hold a single reading. Move across the work and the imagery moves with you, borrowing the visual language of street graffiti and putting it under a process that keeps the composition in motion. At 38 inches square each, the three canvases together command a full wall and reward the viewer who walks the length of them rather than standing still. Each panel is signed on the verso.

Williams "Short-Stop" Baseball Pitch & Bat Arcade | Lot 1062

Pure American amusement, built to be played standing up. This Williams "Short-Stop" pitch and bat arcade game brings the ballpark indoors, letting players time their swing against a mechanical pitch the way generations did in bowling alleys, arcades, and corner taverns. Williams built its reputation on coin-operated machines that turned baseball into a bar game, and the pitch and bat format was the one that stuck. At more than six feet tall and nearly six feet deep, this is a substantial piece of game room furniture with the presence of the real thing.

A 19th Century Harpoon "Pierce Bomb Lance" | Lot 1445

New Bedford in the mid-1800s was the richest city per capita in America, and its fortune came home in barrels of oil. The bomb lance belongs to that world. Ebenezer Pierce, working out of the Massachusetts whaling trade, developed a design that became widely imitated up and down the coast, and this brass example follows that pattern closely though it carries no maker's mark. Objects like this one lit lamps and oiled machinery across a century, its design allowing whalers to work from a greater distance and made the whaling process more efficient and somewhat safer. It survives now as a document of an industry that built New England and then vanished almost entirely, replaced by petroleum within a generation.

A Rare 1950's Betty Cooke Kinetic Brooch | Lot 240

Baltimore's own modernist master, and a piece that refuses to sit still. Betty Cooke (1924 to 2024) built this c.1950 brooch from brass and black plexiglass, arranging five elongated shapes that spin freely on their mounts. Each element is finished on both sides, so the wearer decides the composition: turn one, turn all five, and the brooch reads differently every time. Cooke spent seven decades proving that jewelry could be sculpture you carry with you, and this early work shows her thinking through movement and negative space long before the rest of American design caught up. Accompanied by signed paperwork from the artist dated August 15, 2015.

A GIA 3.66 ct Sapphire Ring in Platinum | Lot 257

Blue at the center, brilliance all around it. This platinum ring is built around a cushion cut sapphire of 3.66 carats, accompanied by GIA Gemological Report #1232596972, prong set within a frame of round diamonds. Milgrain detailing traces the edges of the mounting and carries onto the high polish shank, a finishing technique that rewards a close look and separates hand finished platinum work from everything that came after it. Signed by the maker.

Juan Uslé, Untitled Abstract Diptych, Oil | Lot 1220

Uslé emerged from Santander and made his name in New York in the late 1980s, painting between two poles that most artists choose one of: the gestural weather of abstract expressionism and the cool logic of the grid. Both are present here. Yellow and blue bars cut across the surface like scaffolding, and around them the paint loosens into drifts of white, coral, violet, and green, applied wet and dragged until the marks run down the canvas on their own accord. Across two panels and fifteen feet of wall, the scale achieves something a photograph cannot. You do not look at a painting this size so much as stand inside its weather.

S Kirk & Son Sterling Repousse Coffee Pot & Kettle | Lot 411

Two pieces, one unmistakable Baltimore hand. Produced by S Kirk & Son between 1896 and 1924, this pairing brings together a coffee pot and a tea kettle on stand, both worked in the deep repousse that became the firm's signature and the city's calling card. Trailing flowers and foliage are modeled in high relief across the full body of each piece, set against a stippled ground that pushes the ornament forward and leaves almost no surface untouched. Kirk silversmiths built this decoration by hand, punch by punch, and the beauty of the work here is why collectors still seek the name more than a century later.

Sterling silver, coffee pot 10 3/4 in. H at 33.7 ozt., tea kettle 11 in. H overall at 40.5 ozt.

An Art Deco Style Emerald and Diamond Bracelet in Platinum | Lot 193

Oscar Friedman built his reputation in the years when American jewelers were absorbing everything Paris had shown at the 1925 Exposition and answering it in platinum. This bracelet speaks that language fluently. An emerald cut emerald of approximately 3.42 carats sits bezel set at the center, framed by bead set rounds and bezel set baguettes that square off the composition the way Deco always preferred, geometry over sentiment. The band continues the rhythm along its full length in alternating cuts, running clean into a hidden box clasp with a safety latch so the line never breaks. Signed. Platinum holds a diamond in a thinner setting than gold can manage, which is why the stones here appear to float.
