Project ACT Child Resource Centers

Project ACT Child Resource Centers Project ACT provides solutions for Maryland families, enhancing child care supply, quality, and workforce.

We support families' child care needs with accessible, inclusive services. Our mission: to create equitable, inclusive, quality child care for all. Project ACT has been a leading support in the Maryland early learning community for 23 years. Our professional development opportunities have promoted and supported the inclusion of all children in their community settings. We are dedicated to working

with child care providers and families to ensure that all children have access to a high quality early learning experience and quality out of school time programming. This is done through on site coaching, mentoring and training for child care providers and assistance with all aspects of setting up, managing and maintaining a child care program whether in a center or in a home.

💚 Reflection helps us continue strong practices.

Taking time to pause and reflect allows us to be more intentional in how we support children every day.

When we reflect, we can:
✨ Notice what’s working
✨ Adjust what’s not
✨ Strengthen our impact

Growth doesn’t happen by chance—it happens through reflection. 💚

💚 Self-care supports strong classrooms.

When educators take care of themselves, they’re better able to support the children in their care.

Self-care helps build:
✨ Patience
✨ Connection
✨ Focus
✨ Positive relationships

You can’t pour from an empty cup—and you shouldn’t have to. Taking care of you is part of taking care of children. 💚

💚 What’s one thing you do for self-care?

Taking care of you helps you show up for the children who need you every day. ✨

Whether it’s something big or small—
☕ a quiet moment

🎶 music

It all matters.

💚 Behavior communicates needs.

Every behavior has a message behind it—especially the challenging ones.

That moment might be saying:
🧠 “I’m overwhelmed.”
💛 “I need connection.”
💬 “I don’t have the words yet.”
🌱 “I need support to succeed.”

When we pause and look beyond the behavior, we can respond with empathy instead of frustration.
✨ Connection first
✨ Understanding always
✨ Teaching in the moment

That’s how we help children grow. 💚

Behind every smile, every moment of patience, and every act of care, there are educators making a difference. ✨

💚 Wearing green shows support for children’s mental health awareness. 📅 Don’t forget to wear green on May 7th and tag us!

It’s a small action that makes a big impact.

When we wear green, we:
✨ Raise awareness
✨ Show children and families they are supported
✨ Help start important conversations

Together, we can create a world where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. 💚
