On Friday, I saw our screen recording feature prototype, and it was beyond impressive, exceeding my expectations! It’s not often you task developers with a goal and get something so cool it makes you giggle. With minor tweaks and thorough testing, we’re set for a June rollout.

This add-on feature, with a small fee (TBD), essentially allows for virtual audits by capturing sample collection with timestamps, GPS data, and user actions, ensuring SOP compliance for environmental sampling. It records the collection process for drinking water, wastewater, soil, groundwater, soil v***r, air, surface water, and more, ensuring every step is documented for compliance and accuracy. We’ll provide a trial for all to evaluate its impact.

Soon after (timeline TBD), our AI-driven feature will analyze recordings, images, data entries, GPS coordinates, and edits, confirming alignment with sample locations. It will flag SOP deviations, alerting managers to ensure data confidence.

From hauling coolers to coding solutions, this is me telling the story of the SampleServe journey to the crowd at the Florida Society of Environmental Analysts in Clearwater Florida. I was sharing how SampleServe went from 'Sampling as a Service' to 'Software as a Service'! Today I had the honor of speaking at the Florida Society of Environmental Analysts (FSEA). Back in 2001, SampleServe started as a literal "Sampling as a Service" operation, yes, I was the guy filling coolers with samples and getting my boots dirty. Fast forward to 2011, and we were asked to pivot into using our software to streamline the process. By 2013, we were fully in, working with labs, and now we’re a proud “Software as a Service” company, helping environmental professionals ditch the paper for smarter, digital solutions. It’s been a fun and interesting ride, and I’m so grateful to share this journey with such an amazing community. Thanks, FSEA, for the attention and support!
