🦕🦖One of our favorite recent projects was a little closer to home.

A member of the PID family, Carter Hinkley from Davison, has been turning his love of dinosaurs into a pretty awesome side hustle. From original coloring books that he wrote and illustrated himself, to dinosaur stickers (that we had the pleasure of producing), and now a brand-new retractable banner stand he designed for craft shows, every piece is unmistakably Carter.

If you're in the Davison area and happen to spot him at a local craft fair or community event, stop by and say hello. Whether you're looking for a coloring book, some dinosaur stickers, or just want to chat about the prehistoric world, Carter is always happy to talk dinos.

We love seeing creativity come to life, especially when it belongs to someone close to us. Keep up the great work, Carter!

We've reached the final Flag Friday of the month.

Over the last few weeks, we've covered everything from flag etiquette and fabric choices to the anatomy of a flagpole. To wrap up the series, we're focusing on something that's easy to overlook: routine checks.

Take a few minutes to check your flag and flagpole. Look for fading, frayed edges, damaged hardware, or anything that isn't performing the way it should. Sometimes a simple repair is all you need. Other times, it's the perfect opportunity for an upgrade.

If your flag or flagpole is ready for retirement, we're here to help with new flags, flagpoles, installation, service, and repairs.

The finishing touch is up! 👏

Just in time for Harbor Days, the new streetscape banners are now installed along River Street and Ames Street in downtown Elk Rapids. It’s always rewarding to see a project come together, especially one that helps showcase such a vibrant community ahead of one of its biggest events of the year. Harbor Days runs August 5–8 and is one of Northern Michigan's favorite summer traditions.

A huge thank you to the Elk Rapids Downtown Development Authority for the project. They've been a pleasure to work with, and we're excited to continue partnering on projects that help strengthen and beautify downtown Elk Rapids.
