We recently had the opportunity to help bring the Irish Boat Shop brand to life at their Charlevoix location with a custom exterior sign, along with professional door and window lettering to complete the storefront.

For more than 60 years, Irish Boat Shop has been serving the boating community with boat sales, service, storage, rentals, and marine expertise throughout northern Michigan. We’re proud to help a local marine industry leader look its best!

Serving the community at the crossroads of life and faith.

Crossway is a local Christian church centered on helping people grow in their faith and find a welcoming community where they can come as they are. Their message—“Where the crossroads of life meet the cross of Christ”—speaks to their desire to be a place where people can find encouragement, connection, and spiritual support through every season of life.

It was a privilege for Pro Image Design to help Crossway put that welcoming message out front with a sign designed to represent who they are and invite the community through their doors.

Welcome to Behind the Signs Sunday! This week, we’re taking a closer look at AndyS Ludington and how the A-Team brought their signage to life.

👀 You may have seen Andy’s highlighted in our newsletter. Now, we’re taking you a little further behind the scenes.

From concept to reality, there’s hard work and dedication behind every step of the process. And on a project like this, every department gets their hands on it.

Our Design team started by scaling everything out and bringing the concept to life through renderings. From there, Engineering turned those ideas into detailed plans our production teams could build from.

Clean Production took the baton next, handling the printing and vinyl work before handing everything off to Fabrication. From routing and painting to welding, electrical work and extensive lighting tests, there were plenty of moving parts before this sign was ready for the building.

Finally, our Installation team stepped in to put the icing on the cake, or in this case, the signs on the building. 🛠️

A big thank you to KÖV Houghton Lake for being such a fantastic customer! Their team has been serving Michigan since 2003, helping customers transform their spaces with flooring, cabinetry, countertops, window treatments, and more.
One of the fun parts of what we do is that we don’t always get to see where our work ends up once it leaves the shop!
We’re always grateful when customers send us photos of their signage installed and out in the wild. With so many projects completed for KÖV Simply Interiors since June, we haven’t gotten to see every piece in its final home just yet — so we did a little AI doctoring to mock up a few ourselves. 😉
From sign panels and vehicle graphics to banners, flags, yard signs, and window decals, it’s been awesome watching the KÖV brand come together across so many different applications. Thanks again to Tim and the KÖV team for keeping us busy — and for sending those finished photos our way when you can!

Wayfinding Wednesdays, Part 5: The Signs We All Know. 🛑

We’re wrapping up the series with some of the most familiar forms of wayfinding out there. Stop signs, parking signs, accessible parking signs, directional signs, and the other signs that help keep people moving safely and predictably.

They might not seem complicated, but there’s a lot that goes into making sure the right information is in the right place and easy to understand.

Sometimes the best sign is the one you barely notice because it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.
