Nine new pharmaceutical agreements aim to lower prescription drug prices to levels paid in other developed countries, bringing the total to 26 companies covering 89% of the branded drug market.
The companies will invest at least $19.6 billion in U.S. manufacturing and contribute key drug ingredients to strengthen national reserves.
