Upon moving to Traverse City in 1995, she took time off from the business world focusing her efforts on her young family and decorative painting. She has painted murals and decorative pieces around town for business and private residences including working with New Millennium on the Civic Opera House restoration project where she managed the stencil creation and painted the dome cherubs among other areas. During this time she continued to do freelance graphic design projects, which lead her to her current focus, Patty Fabian Creative Marketing. In her ever-dwindling free time, Patty enjoys putsing around in her extensive flower and vegetable gardens where she employs organic gardening techniques to great success. She is crazy about composting and vermiculture composting, having even set up a red worm box at her son’s school. After years of enjoying all the wonderful botanic gardens in the Chicago area, she is very excited to have the opportunity to serve on the board for the Botanical Garden Society in its efforts to bring such a jewel to Northwest Michigan.
