This Friday, Chef Tony Vu joins us for Lunch in the Vines.

A Flint-born, first-generation Vietnamese-American chef and entrepreneur, Tony brings a modern approach to Vietnamese cooking shaped by culture, community, and connection. From founding MaMang at the Flint Farmers' Market to bringing his cooking north as owner of The Good Bowl in Traverse City, his work reflects a belief in food as a way to bring people and places together.

We're excited to welcome Tony to the vineyard and see what he brings to the table for Friday's sold-out food and wine experience.

This November, Chateau Grand Traverse will release the 2026 Gamay Nouveau—our first vintage with winemaker Virginia Usher.

Made in the style of Beaujolais Nouveau using carbonic maceration, this vibrant, fruit-forward expression of Gamay Noir celebrates one of our favorite grapes: versatile, lively, and endlessly food-friendly.

A new winemaker. A new vintage. A wine made to celebrate the harvest.

And in November, we’ll raise the first glass.

✨ The First Pour will mark the official release of the 2026 Gamay Nouveau with an elevated evening celebrating this new chapter at Chateau Grand Traverse.

More details and tickets coming soon.

We enjoyed having James Beard Award-winning Chef Debbie Gold at Chateau Grand Traverse for last year's Traverse City Food & Wine so much, we had to invite her back.

After building a career that has taken her from Michelin-starred kitchens in France to Chicago and two decades helping shape Kansas City's dining scene, Debbie returns to our table this week as featured chef for Thursday's Lunch in the Vines and Saturday's Old World, New World Wine Dinner.

Lunch in the Vines is sold out, but a few seats remain for Saturday evening. Join us for an exceptional night of food, wine, and one very welcome return to Old Mission Peninsula.

There’s a new face in the cellar at Chateau Grand Traverse.

After more than three decades of winemaking under Bernd Croissant, we’re welcoming Virginia Usher as our new Director of Winemaking and Head of Production.

Virginia joins us from Northern California, bringing years of experience, a love for wines that reflect where they’re grown, and plenty of excitement about discovering everything Old Mission Peninsula has to offer.

Her first vintage with us begins with the 2026 harvest, making this an especially exciting time to welcome her to the Chateau Grand Traverse family.

We sat down to share more about Virginia, the journey that brought her to Northern Michigan, the incredible legacy she’ll build upon, and what we’re looking forward to in the years ahead.

Meet Virginia and read the full story at the link below.

You can't make Ice Wine every year, only when winter decides to provide the perfect conditions.

Our newly released 2024 Ice Wine was made from 100% estate-grown Riesling, naturally frozen on the vine and hand-harvested during two early December mornings when temperatures held steady below 8°F.

Pressing the frozen fruit yielded only a precious amount of concentrated juice, capturing remarkable sweetness while preserving the vibrant acidity that defines Riesling grown on Old Mission Peninsula.

Apricot preserves. Honey. Ripe citrus. A long, elegant finish. Available now in our Tasting Room.

Go beyond the tasting room during Traverse City Food & Wine.

Walk the vineyard. Explore the winery. Experience Riesling from a new perspective. Offered each day of the series, our Art of Riesling Tour & Tasting explores the grape, the place, and the winemaking decisions behind some of our most celebrated wines. The experience culminates in the barrel room with a guided tasting and chef-curated small bites, bringing wine, food, and place together in one intimate experience.

Or, make an evening of it with Old World, New World Wine Dinner. Following a specialized tour of the property, comparative wine tasting meets fine dining through a six-course dinner in our Speakeasy beneath The Inn.

We're just one week away, and reservations are still available. Make Chateau Grand Traverse part of your Traverse City Food & Wine experience and reserve your tickets today through the links on our page.
