SOP's don't need to be complicated. They can be simple and easy.

Most people, when they think of sops, they think of big corporations with hundreds of employees and pages upon pages of documented procedures.

Regardless the size of your business, you should be using sop's. They just make the way you do business that much more easier.

They help you avoid telling a new hire step by step instructions on how to do things in hopes they do them correctly. Having an sop can provide them with a list of step by step instructions on how to EXACTLY complete that task/project without doing it "their way" or completing it wrong due to miscommunication.

The sop helps keep your business organized and efficient.

Do you use SOP's in your business?

For each task we complete in our business we should have an SOP set up for it. If we don't we're setting ourselves up for some road bumps in the future.

Tasks like creating content, scheduling content, sending an email out to your clients in your email marketing software, creating and sending an invoice, sending a client a link to schedule a call with you, creating an offer in Kajabi, and MORE!

Whatever moving parts that you do in your business you should be using an SOP that goes along with it. This will not only help you stay organized but will save you so much time when you're ready to hire help in your business!

Are you a women business owner?

If so, I’ve got some time management tips for you!!

Saving time in our business is so important and something we might not think a lot about. Our time is our most precious asset and something that we should be using wisely. 😊

Here are three great tips that can help you save time in your business:

Standard Operating Procedures. SOP's can keep your business organized save you time, as well as being efficient. If you decide to outsource, your sop will guide your new hire step by step, showing them how to complete a specific task within your business. Doing it exactly the way you do! This will save you time from having to explain the task to them step by step, they can just use the sop.

Delegate Responsibilities. Doing tasks that you don’t like doing or don’t know how to do can waste your energy and end up getting your burnt out and frustrated. Delegate those tasks to a virtual assistant. Doing this will save you so much time in your business! When you delegate the tasks that you don't like doing or have a hard time doing then you can focus on the things that light you up in your business!

Use online tools. Some great tools to use for helping you save time are Asana, Trello, Honeybook, and Buffer! These are all tools that I persoanlly use in my business and love them! Asana and Trello are project management systems. Honeybook is an all-in-one business management system. And Buffer is a wonderful scheduling tool!

SAYING IT LOUD ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE IN THE BACK!!

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.

We all need to eventually to ask for help.

Ladies, don't you want to be doing things in your business that light you up instead of doing tasks that get you frustrated and burntout?

Instead, you're stuck doing "all-the-things" because you're doing it alone.

You don't want to be wasting your time on things that just don't thrill you and that someone else can come in and take off your plate.

Women Business Owners…Is this you?

Are you a “do-it-all” type business owner?

If so, have you thought about all the time you've wasted doing tasks that you just don't like doing?

I love organization!

I mean who doesn't love to be organized right?!

I know I do!!

Standard operating procedures are a great way to keep your business organized.

A standard operating procedure is a step-by-step guide showing how to complete a specific task in your business.

To keep your business organized, you can create a sop for every task you do in your business.

That way, when you're ready to hire help, you'll be able to pull up your sop’s and send them to your new hire and they will show them step by step how to do the tasks exactly the way you do them. Saving you time from having to do it yourself, keeping your organized, and efficient.

(PRO TIP: After writing your sop, make sure you test it and that you didn't miss any steps. This will save you time on fixing any possible errors that could occur.)

You just hired your first Virtual Assistant (VA), yay!

Now you want her to take all of your content you have ready for the month and schedule it in your scheduler. You want her to do the task just like you do so your clients won’t know the difference.

THIS: You don’t have an SOP for that specific task so she won’t know the exact process you do. So you sit and spend an hour walking her step by step helping her complete the task to ensure she does it like you.

THAT: If you had an SOP in place for that specific step, and you tested it out and know it works, you could send it to her and she could follow it step by step completing the task exactly like you just like you wanted PLUS saving you time having to show her how to do it! :) WIN WIN right?! I’d say!
