The rescheduled NJ Legislative Disability Caucus Meeting meeting will be on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 from Noon – 1:00pm on Zoom
Caucus Co-Chair, Assemblywoman Aura K. Dunn will lead the discussion on Continuity of Care & Service Gaps Within Disability Systems
Discussion will focus on examining capacity and service gaps within disability service systems.
Workforce shortages disrupt care across all disability programs. The DHS Direct Care Workforce Strategic Plan — developed with Labor, DCF, Education, Consumer Affairs, and higher education partners — offers 40+ data-driven strategies to address the crisis and will serve as a framework for additional Caucus discussion.
Speakers include a family guardian sharing her firsthand experience navigating the DDD system, a support coordination agency, a statewide behavioral health leader, and a senior policy advisor from the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
