Such a great chapter… so many truth nuggets and life changing truths…
Yesterday we hung around the table a bit and sang the old hymns of the Faith because that’s one of Papa George’s favorite things and it has been said that a hymn book is like unto a Bible, the second most important book you own and use.
Music is such a powerful tool, to memorize scripture, to encourage, to uplift. When life seems topsy turvy and often it does, I find a song to help focus my brain on the Truth and it encourages my heart.
It’s not always a hymn, last week it was…. “Look what God has done” and I put it on repeat and let the song and the truth of the song carry me through the day.
Maybe you have a favorite hymn or Christian song that grabs your heart and means something special to you. Add it to your playlist and learn it, sing it, and let the words and the melody of the song encourage your heart.
