Sewing for You

I have decided to retire from the "sewing for you" aspect of my business. I will continue to do some vendor fairs with the stuffed animals, tote bags, and other miscellaneous sewn items. I appreciate my customers over these last 16 years (can't believe it's been that long!). Some of you have been with me for many years! Thank you, thank you so much! I would be open to sewing a custom stuffed bear or pony. Now I need to think of a new name . . .

Due to some ill health the last 6 weeks I will not be doing any "sewing for you" till further notice. Thank you, my customers. I hope to fulfill my commitments to the 3 or 4 vendor events I have left this year but I think that will be all I can handle.

My next-to-last vendor event of the year is this weekend in Plattsburg in the Community Courtyard building. Below is a sampling of items I have available. Many make great gifts. Arghh, I'm having a hard time adding photos. It let me add one, but not more. Added more photos in comments. This pic is of my newest item, ponies!

I will be at Edgerton Pioneer days this afternoon and evening and all day tomorrow. Come out and see me. I have tote bags and bears , as in the past, but have added ponies now. (Dog shown not for sale)

I will be closed for the month of January. I have several personal projects that have been put off, some for months, that I need to complete. And I think my poor sewing machine could use a tune-up at the sewing center. It's been operating for hours and hours this last year, almost every day. You are free to contact me about future projects during this time.

Come on out to Northland Cathedral's Holiday Bazaar. Tomorrow (Nov. 12) from 9 am - 3 pm. This is a huge event and there are lots of creative and unique items for sale, along with the businesses like Scentsy and Tupperware. I will have my bears, tote bags, wristlets, and fleece throws. Laura will also be there with her wonderful handmade goat milk soap.

Today is the first day of the Smithville Farmers and Makers Market. 4:30-7:30. Come out and see me and others. Produce from local vendors. Unique products made by local folks. I will be there with some new items I've made (fleecy dog beds--I'm saving them for the winter fairs!) I will have my usual tote bags, but have added handmade bears, unpaper towels, and wetbags.

Bought a new pattern for a hoodie that has all sizes from toddler to adult woman. Thought I'd try it out on a $1.50 remnant I picked up that Ryleigh liked. I loved the way it turned out. So next, Grady was wanting something from the dinosaur fabric I had as he missed out on getting a beanie from it, so that's ready for him. Now I am working on one in Minnie Mouse fabric for Hannah. Anyone want to bring me a 16" white (or pink) separating zipper as I don't have one in my stash? Some time I'm going to have to pick fabric that doesn't require matching stripes or making sure the dinos or mice are right side up. And that last fabric has both! Some day I'll make me one of these!
