A sincere thank you to our neighboring fire departments and our fellow county department, Kerens VFD, for responding last night and assisting with the structure fire in the Key Ranch area. This also includes the power company and Red Cross, thank you as well.

Your manpower, apparatus, and support are greatly appreciated. We are grateful for the strong mutual aid partnerships that help us serve our communities safely and effectively.

Come out and support Seven Points VFD with their annual Crawfish Boil!!!!

Today we were called to assist North 19 Fire Department with a large grass fire with heavy dry fuel. We were able to put some of our unique equipment to use. We are grateful to be able to help the residents that Trinidad Fire Rescue serves and our neighbors in surrounding areas.

We mourn the loss of one of our own — a firefighter who answered the call without hesitation, who stood ready in moments of chaos, and who embodied courage, selflessness, and service.

There are no words that truly ease the weight of this loss. The fire service is more than a job — it’s a family — and this family grieves deeply. We grieve for a life dedicated to protecting others, for the brotherhood forever changed, and for the loved ones whose hearts now carry an unimaginable ache.

May we honor their legacy by remembering their strength, their sacrifice, and the impact they made — not only in the fires fought, but in the lives touched along the way. Their watch may have ended, but their memory, service, and spirit will live on in every alarm answered and every life saved in their honor.
