Spent my weekend at a clinic hosted by Oregon Farriers Association with Cody Greggory and Dr. Chris Wickliffe performing a full horse dissection as well as forging demos. I’ll spare you the gore of the actual dissection, but it was one of the most fascinating and educational opportunities I’ve had. Definitely gave me an even greater appreciation for the incredible power of the horse and how it functions. Very grateful for the people I’m meeting within the farrier and veterinary field. Here’s to never ending learning!

I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity for to come care for my ponies this weekend. She has such amazing energy and even Scarlet embraced the Bemer and massage.

I’m really beginning to understand how traumatic injuries have effected my horses. From Scarlets trailer accident about 5 years ago she is really displayed signs of discomfort that have probably been building up and digressing. Unfortunately to the point now where trimming her right hind is impossible. I wish I would have taken this approach sooner, but I hope there’s still time for her to heal and be comfortable in her lifetime. And we also saw some patterns of tension in Twix possibly related to his injury last year fracturing his cannon bone.

I’m looking forward to learning more in the world of healing and helping horses- from the hooves up. It all works together.

Not to mention she also worked on ME, which is just as important to keep my body healthy and thriving so that I can do my best for others.

This is what I’ve been up to since getting home from farrier school. Everything has been word of mouth so far, but putting into my friend group for now that I am available for trimming, hot and cold shoeing. I’m not fast, but meticulous and can shape good shoes. Not taking on horses that don’t stand for farrier moderately well- dancing around is one thing, but dangerous behavior is not worth ending my career for already.
Phone number is on the page- call, text or DM.
$50 trim, $90 half set, $120 full set.

Thanks friends, I’m loving what I’m doing and so grateful for getting that much more involved in an aspect of horsemanship.
