Full-service rodent job complete. Here’s what “done right” looks like: trap out the mice, exclude the entry point (this one was a compromised foundation vent), then clean and disinfect the crawlspace to remove droppings and contamination. And since I was already there, I gave the whole house a thorough spider web sweep on the way out.

Bird 🐦 nest and squirrel 🐿️ nest, same attic. Barely enough room to turn around up there, but both are out and the entry points are sealed. That’s what actually solves the problem — removal without exclusion is just an invitation to come back.
