The last Midwest Rep Rap Festival (MRRF). This video was right when the organizers announced that this would be the final year. Since 2013, MRRF has brought together some of the best makers, hackers, and inventors in the 3D printing space. One of the things they said during the speech was something along the lines of “MRRF isn’t this building, it’s not the organizers, it’s all of you in the community”.
The torch is being passed over to a new set of organizers and the event will likely change names, but I’m sure this community isn’t going anywhere. Whatever the new name and the new place, we’ll be there next year.

Free 3D printer filament for schools. We’re inviting schools with the most likes in the comments section to come get free 3D printer filament. Rules: 1) Must be local (within 20 miles of Troy, MI). 2) Must be a school, no makerspaces, robotics teams, etc. 3) I need contact info for a rep from the school who runs the 3D printers so I know who to reach out to when it’s time to fill a box. 4) no shipping, local pickup only.
