As some of you may know, I recently moved across the country to elevate my sales career in tech sales by moving to Silicon Valley/San Francisco, CA area.

As the cards have fell into place, I have ended up at an amazing, innovative, and considerate company called Carta 😌

I will be working with start-ups and private companies managing their cap tables, specifically, helping with managing their salary and equity compensation plans for their employees as they grow.

Today, I just wanted to thank everyone in my network who has supported me to get to where I am today. 🙌🏼

I am humbled by this roller coaster ride of moving across the country and the experience so far. I know I am in the right place at Carta growing my financial expertise and making waves in the modern business world today.

Hiring people, incentivizing employees to work, and attracting talent has been the biggest struggle facing businesses I talk to.

A lot of these business owners are citing the extended $300 unemployment benefit aid per week as a big issue for why employees are hard to find. FYI this unemployment benefit will be in place until Sept. 6th 2021.

However, for these 23 states that unemployment benefit will be running out even sooner.

Other WOTC eligible hires include:

- Seasonal workers under the age of 18
- those living in empowerment zones
- new hires on food stamps or government housing

The IRS concludes that the below personal protective equipment will be treated as a medical expense.

This includes:
- Masks (all varieties).
- Face shields.
- Protective eyewear.
- Disposable gloves (vinyl, latex).
- Hand sanitizer.
- Sanitizing wipes.
- Other items may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
