Trust. It's a huge thing. Choosing a doctor, a mechanic, a partner, they're all super important to know who to put your faith in. The same is true with restoration. When an insurance company recommends their preferred vendor, you want to think they have your best interest at heart. You might also think that if you don't choose their suggested vendor you're going to get taken advantage of. Both can be true but we have seen far too many times the insurance company recommending terrible restoration groups and customers paying the price.
This job, for example, was a fire job. Some major insurance company recommended a major franchise to clean up the job. No asbestos tests were performed, the job looks to be over-scoped and under completed, it still smells of fire 7 months later, structure is still wet (and now encapsulated so it WON'T dry naturally), no equipment or air filtration utilized for a known carcinogenic environment, the list goes on.
The fact that these people are out here doing this kind of work and being recommended is sickening. We don't want to be their preferred vendor, we want to be YOUR preferred vendor.
