For science! I grabbed a steel movement from my boneyard and threw it into a case tumbler with walnut shell for three days. I didn't use the ultrasonic before or after (just a water rinse). The steel looks just as rusty, but the brass has brightened up quite a bit. I think next time I'll try all brass with ultra before and after.

Apologies for the potato quality photos. I got to work on this awesome clock today. The cabinet was built by the owners grandfather who was a piano maker. I did t find any stamps on the movement which was a shame.

New tools! I broke down and bought a Time Trax clock timing machine. Should save me a lot of..... time 😂 I also bought a ring light with a phone holder so I can stop taking terrible photos
