Last night, we had our first networking mixer of the year, at the new restaurant. We had an evening of good food and new connections, and heard from the owner, Lenny Mark, about the concept behind the restaurant and what led him to open it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to spend an evening with us, and we hope to see you all at our future events!

What a purr-fect social! 🐱

With El Jefe Cat Café and Dancesequences Inc., we enjoyed cozy vibes with friendly felines and connected with community members.

We met El Jefe's owner, Tiffany Lee, who shared with us that El Jefe is one of the largest cat cafes in the U.S. They partner with local cat rescue organizations in Arizona. People can come cuddle cats without commitment and El Jefe helps find furever homes for hundreds of cats.

A huge thank you to Tiffany and Karenne for sharing their passions, and to everyone who came out to enjoy this fun experience!

Last night we had the honor of hosting Jessica Cox for our “Disarming Limits, Overcoming Obstacles” event at Toss Fried Chicken and Ramen restaurant.

A proud Filipino-American, Jessica, was born without arms and hands due to a rare condition and has mastered everyday tasks. She continually defies expectations—making history as the world’s first licensed armless pilot, earning her black belt in Taekwondo, becoming a certified scuba diver, dancing, and much more.

Jessica reminded us that we all have fears, but facing them is what builds confidence. She shared with us three important ways for us to face our fears, build confidence within ourselves, and how “FEAR” stands for “false evidence appearing real”.

We are grateful to have received signed copies of her book, Disarm Your Limits, which will continue to inspire all of us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this powerful evening of inspiration, growth, and community ❤️

Our ACEL-Tucson Chapter had an amazing time attending the 2025 ACELing In Leadership Conference in Tempe, AZ!🌟

We joined AAPI professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from across the country for the two-day conference to explore leadership, grow our networks, and build lasting connections.

The Welcome Reception connected us across industries and helped us build relationships with fellow changemakers.

We attended inspiring, engaging and fun workshops and panels with C-suite executives and innovators. We learned about leading with purpose, building confidence, fostering inclusive leadership, navigating careers and entrepreneurship, leveraging AI responsibly, and engaging in mentorship and civic action. All topics that equipped us with practical tools to make meaningful impact.

At the Business & Community Expo, we connected with top employers at the National Diversity Career Expo, and wrapped up by celebrating inspiring leaders at the Leadership Awards Gala.

Our Chapter is honored to receive the Rising Star Chapter Award 🌟 for our remarkable strides in leadership development, community engagement, and member impact in Tucson!

We are so inspired and grateful for the new connections we formed, and we look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen Tucson’s AAPI community.

We proudly partnered with More Than A Bed to support foster, adoptive, and kinship families in our Tucson community 💙

From sorting through donated clothing to organizing toys and essential supplies. Every item sorted brings comfort and support to a child in need and we’re honored to play a small part in that mission.

Thank you to all who joined us and brought donations!

More Than A Bed is a nonprofit that serves over 1,000 families and nearly 3,000 foster children in 2023 alone. They rely on volunteer support year-round.

Want to get involved in our next service opportunity? Stay tuned!

We gathered at The American Eat Co. & Market in Tucson for the ACEL Ceramic Showcase & Mixer! It was a fun evening celebrating the creativity and stories behind each piece crafted at our June "Molding Your Vision" Pottery Workshop.

✨ Artists shared the journeys behind their unique creations
🤝 Community members connected over art, conversations, and delicious bites
🎨 Workshop participants described the inspiration and meaning behind their work before proudly taking their pieces home

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—your presence helped bring each story to life and strengthen our vibrant AAPI leadership network here in Tucson. Let’s continue to build powerful connections and creative expressions through art.

Stay tuned for more ACEL‑Tucson events next season!
