Forget the stereotypes. Get to know the person. ❤️
When it comes to Native American dating, one of the most important things to remember is also one of the simplest:
There is no single “Native American type.”
Native American and Indigenous people are individuals first.
Different personalities.
Different interests.
Different values.
Different beliefs.
Different life experiences.
Different hopes for the future.
And Native American communities themselves are extraordinarily diverse, encompassing hundreds of distinct Tribal Nations, cultures, languages, histories and traditions.
So if you’re interested in meeting or dating Native American singles, don’t begin with assumptions about who someone should be.
Begin with a conversation.
What should you know about dating a Native American person?
Start by getting to know them.
Ask about the things they love.
Discover what makes them laugh.
Find out what they’re passionate about.
Talk about family, careers, travel, faith, music, food, dreams, relationships — all the things that help two people discover whether there’s something between them worth exploring.
If their Native American or Indigenous identity is important to them, give them the space to tell you what it means to them.
Don’t assume that every Native person follows particular traditions or holds the same beliefs.
Don’t expect someone to represent an entire culture or Tribal Nation.
And don’t let stereotypes — even supposedly “positive” ones — prevent you from discovering the actual person standing in front of you.
What makes a genuine connection?
The same things that make so many relationships meaningful:
❤️ Respect
❤️ Attraction
❤️ Trust
❤️ Shared values
❤️ Good conversation
❤️ Humor
❤️ Kindness
❤️ Emotional connection
❤️ Genuine curiosity about one another
Because the best relationships aren’t built around an idea of someone.
They’re built by knowing someone.
At Native American Dating Service, our goal is to help create opportunities for Native American and Indigenous singles — and people genuinely interested in meeting them — to connect, talk and discover where a relationship might lead.
Friendship.
Dating.
Companionship.
Romance.
Or perhaps something much more serious.
The photograph might catch your attention.
But it’s the person behind the photograph you’ll want to discover. ❤️
