Another day of driving through Morocco.

We went to a nice garden in the morning and then started to go through the Atlas mountains.

The drive was very scenic with the hills, valleys, and snow peaked mountains everywhere through out our journey.

To end the day, we stopped at a nice agate collecting spot and had a picnic.

Hello again!

It feels like forever since the last time I posted.

I'm currently in Florida after finishing up in Tucson, but I thought I'd do a post just so ya know I haven't died.

This hunk of metal in the picture is a little something called bismuth.

It's a naturally occuring element that creates some really amazing geometric patterns and rainbow colors when treated in a lab.

A lot of people I know have seen bismuth before, but not like this in it's 'raw' form.

Anyways, I thought it was cool.

What do y'all think?

Hello again fossil folk (and everyone else who randomly ended up here)

I'm here again in Tucson showing another cool Moroccan fossil.

This time you're looking at a well preserved and prepared sea urchin from simewhere between the late Cretaceous and early Jurassuc some 89 to 95 million years ago.

This fossil, while often found in abundance, is of a relatively high-quality with most of it's extremities preserved.

This species us often found near Talsint and the Atlas Mountains.

I Went to the zoo.

I found hungry howling lions.

Didn't find dinos.

I hope you all enjoyed my terrible haiku more than I enjoyed the process of writing it.

I did get rained on, but the trip was a nice break after the show.
