So this deer was a special project for a good friend of mine. My friend asked if I could fix it up for him because it was the last deer his father had taken before he passed away. It was in pretty sad shape when it was handed to me, to include missing an eye. I was able to find an old eye that matched the one in the deer. I set my helper Jocelynn loose on repairing the damaged stuff. She did a great job and I did the final finish work. I think it came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Got bears?! Bunch of bears in various stages of drying- shoulders, rugs and back pack mounts. A few rugs have already been sent out to the riggers to get sewn up. Haven’t been good at keeping up with social media stuff, but here’s a pic of the bear I entered in the Northern New England Taxidermy Championship. It received a Blue ribbon and Best of Category in the Masters Division.

I’m a little behind getting some pics of my recent competition pieces out to the social inter webs. First pic is my bear entry. It received a Blue ribbon and Best of Category in the Masters Division. The next few are my deer entry. A lot of work went into creating this pose,but a stupid mistake cost me a blue ribbon, but it received Red ribbons , Professional Division, in both Maine and Connecticut shows. The last pics are a fish that I competed with in Maine couple years ago, it received a Red Ribbon. I made a few adjustments to it and brought it to the Connecticut show this year and it received a Blue ribbon in the Professional Division.

I’ve been busy, haven’t posted in a while. These are 2 NH giants. The 8 pointer was a dorf deer(short lower jaw). First time doing one of these.

Edit: as of now, all thenpanels are spoken for, pending pick up.

Cleaning up in the shop, I’ve got some turkey panels I’d like to get rid of. These are used, pretty decent condition, but they aren’t perfect and some you might want to refinish. $20/each or $50 for all the panels in the first picture. The 4 panels in the second pic would like to sell as a lot for $50.
