Good afternoon Veterans, Family members, friends and community members
Welcome to our Veterans Connection Page. For now we will have this as an open page. The intent is to have a place to network and get involved in all things Veteran related.
A little about me, I served in the US Army for 8.5 years. I served 3 tours in Iraq. My husband is also a Veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan. We own property in Bedford county, and after losing our home in a fire last year, we decided to not rebuild. Instead we decided to buy a house in Tullahoma. As we prepare to move, we want to have a way for the community to come together to support our local Veterans. And we will also support our community. Many veterans do not have a place to go for support. They may feel that no one understands them or "gets" them. Well if thats you, here is your place. We are not excluding any local Veterans organizations- in fact we will encourage the continuing support of them. I would like to set up group events, lunch meet ups, things for family to be involved in. I only have a few rules. First I will not ban or block anyone without cause. Meaning I will talk to you first..consider it a counseling! You get a warning! Because this is a community accessed page please keep it civil and PG. There are tons of pages out there to share those memes on. Light humor is always appreciated!
If a Veteran needs to speak to someone we will work together to get them to the right person. All Veterans of all Eras are welcome. Let's build the page up! We will add more info as things come in and make sure all of our Veterans have a place to go to chat, share coffee or support one another. Members of the community are welcome as well.
