We’re excited to partner with Hickerson Elementary in the Million Cans Recycling Contest! 🙌 Every can makes a difference, and together we can make a BIG impact! 🌎
Let’s get recycling! ♻️

♻️🥫 YES, WE CAN, HICKERSON! 🦄💛

Hickerson Elementary STEM School is participating in the Million Cans Recycling Contest! 🎉 We’re joining 72 schools across 19 states to help reach a nationwide goal of recycling at least 4 MILLION aluminum cans! 🌎🤝

📅 The contest runs October 1, 2026–April 30, 2027, and we need our families and community to help!

🥤 Students who bring in 50 aluminum cans will earn a soft drink to enjoy at school! That’s approximately one kitchen trash bag of uncrushed cans—bag amounts vary, so aim for 50! 🥫

🍨 When 100% of a class’s students bring in their 50 cans, that class will earn an ice cream party! Teamwork makes the celebration sweeter! 🎉

📚🦄 Our Pre-K and kindergarten students received a recycling story provided by the contest to help them learn how small actions can make a big difference. We’re sharing that story here so families can enjoy it together! 💚
