One of the best things that you can do for yourself AND your business is to lose the dead weight before it costs you success. What is dead weight? It is anything that distracts you, prevents you from accomplishing your goals, and/or does not contribute to your ultimate success.
Deadweight shows up in several forms. It includes bad habits, toxic friends and family members, digital distractions, and the list goes on. Living with these things in your life may be a fact of life for some but it is NOT a fact of success.
Have you ever found yourself in a never-ending cycle of taking three steps backward for every step forward? Something is sabotaging your success and many times, it is the dead weight. It literally drags you down and consumes your life.
I challenge you to take 15 minutes today to examine your social media, your contacts, your friends, and your family members. Ask yourself: are they adding value to my life? Are they only entertaining me? Or are they hurting me? Listen to the truth in your soul.
If you want the exponential growth I have achieved, I encourage you to start working towards eliminating the dead weight from your life. You don't have to cut people off but at least, limit the amount of time you spend with them or change your conversation with them to be more productive. Do not let those past issues run in your mind anymore - accept them and let them go. Develop better habits. It is all a process and this is only the beginning.
